Breaking Free by BrianWolfe Breaking Free by BrianWolfe
Infrared, 3 shot HDR merge.
Hoya IR filter on Nikkor 17-35mm. Manfrotto tripod, remote shutter relese.
Kings River, Lower Paradise Valley, Kings Canyon National Park, California.
This is right by the backcountry campsite we stayed in for 2 nights of the trip.

For me, true freedom is to break free from limitation. To go beyond all references to what is and what is not. Letting go of everything, and just being.
Freedom is a hard thing to have, and it cannot be given to us. We must be able to realize it, and allow it to exist. If we try to latch onto it, or take a forceful attitude, we will never have true freedom.

Awesome piece of work. The flow of the colours and sharpness of the photo are really liberating. It's good to see someone with vision taking HDR's.

that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Sweet IR as well. I can't believe the water saturation. I read when you said how, it just boggles the mind.

the river looks like the lava, whilst the atmosphere is very cold

the focus is primarily on the broken tree, which looks like a ruined volcano

and you have combined elements of fire, water and earth together

this is very well done! a pleasure to see your work, especially this one... :worship:

The orange tones are very good but it looks absolutely unnatural on the tree roots. I think you curved a little too much on that spot

Wow... this picture truly amazes me. Every time I look at it, for some reason I get very overwhelmed (but in a good way). The colors are fantastic and the water (is that really water? O_O) is so smooth.

Wow. :+favlove:

This is by far one the the most striking photos I've seen of yours. The water is like lava, only smoother, better. I just...wow. I love this. All of it. I can't decide if the water or the stump is my favorite part. Magnificent.
